Past president and still very active in WWII Navy organization of survivors of USS Johnston & USS Hoel, destroyers lost in Battle of Leyte Gulf in the Philippines Oct. 25, 1944. Responsible for coordinating activities, producing quarterly newsletter, and organizing an annual reunion of families and survivors.
