Durfees moved to So Pas in 1946. Brother Steve graduated in 1958, brother Mike in 1960, myself in 1963. Father, Marion B Durfee, was a psychiatrist, head of the Pasadena Child Guidance Clinic. Mother, Nita, was town mom.

1966 NCAA College Division champion and All American in the Long Jump. Ran against the great Tommie Smith when he set the world record in the 220 yard and 200 meter race on a straightaway. I was not close. But I was there!! UCSB Athletic Hall Of Fame!
