I have two daughters: Robin, born 1971 with two daughters of her own, Elizabeth, born 2001 and Samantha More…born in July 2009 My youngest is Holly, born 1975.
Most of my career was in banking. After moving back to Utah in 1997, I joined Delta Airlines in their reservations department. What a great job. I now get travel privileges!
Other South Pasadena schools I also attended
El Centro Elementary
Marengo Elementary
South Pasadena Junior High
Different places I have lived
I started out on Fairview in South Pas. From there we moved to Brigham City, Utah. After 20 some odd years we moved to Overland Park, KS. We now find ourselves back in Utah for the past 12 years.
Family history living in South Pasadena
My family lived in the oldest house in South Pas. My sister, Connie still lives there. They also owned a building on Mission Street that housed the first jail. The jail's in the basement.
My parents, Clifford and Lila Cox had a locksmith business for many years. My mother was also mayor for a few years.
I enjoyed knowing many business people around town. Two of my favorites were and still are Bill and Mary Fosselman.
Family members who also went to SPHS
Beside myself, I have a sister Connie who was in the class of '65. I had three cousins, Linda(Lee) Henricksen Rankin, Ronnie Lee Brewer, class of '69, who passed away from Cancer, Eric Lee, class of '73.
Other SPHS graduates I keep in touch with are:
Susie Nicholas Petek is my best friend and we talk several times a week. She lives in Laguna.
I have lunch every 2-3 months with So. Pas class of '63 ladies, Linda McDonald Shultz, Marilyn Dege Smith, Gailgh Franks Muntean, Gretchen Gayman Robinette, Karen Anderson Green, Clarice Schmitt Knapp , Marilyn Morhardt Skinner, Lee Benz, Susan Renshaw Meyer. It would be fun to see more gals there.
School Memories
I remember liking to go to school. It was a fun place to be. I was not a great student. I had gone to two elementary schools, Marengo 3/4th grades and El Centro 5/6th grades, so was lucky to know most of my class when we got to Jr. High.
I did more with the class ahead of ours. Looking back I wish I would have gotten to know more people in our class.
Pastimes & Hobbies
I am an avid book reader. Love to cross stitch and make baby blankets for close friends.
Walk almost everyday. Other than that, I haven't figured out the retirement thing yet!
Favorite Music, Songs, Bands
I still enjoy music from the '60s. Like different sounds. Not much country/western.
