After retiring from the Corps, became a consultant to the Air Force until I decided fishing was more important.
Being retired means every day is a "weekend."
Aah, such bliss.

After graduating lived mainly in CA - 29 Palms, San Diego and of course California City. Others: Cherry Point, NC; El Paso, TX; Yuma, AZ; Ute, IA; Korea; Okinawa; Philippines; and an unleasant visit to Vietnam.

Senior ditch day at the beach, received a citation from the Newport PD for underage drinking in public. Judge dismissed the case...the officer entered erroneous info on the citation (he had been drinking, also.)

Made a career of the a Marine Corps (26yrs). Obtained the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. Those who served in the Corps know what this accomplishment is.

Hobbies - Pretending I'm another Ansel Adams.
Pastimes - Fishing and fly tying.

Favorite vocal artists - Joanne Shenandoah, Texas, Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Bering Straight, Bessie Smith, Jimmy Reed, Hank Williams Jr...I'll stop with these.

Favorite authors - Ayn Rand, Robert Heinlein, Frank Herbert, Homer, and Plato.
Addicted to movies from the1930's and 40's e.g., Abbott & Costello, Bogart, Leni Riefenstahl, Marx Bros, Serials and WWII.
Favorite TV - USC football and Angels baseball -when not viewing a good movie.
Network TV...yuck!

I'll put it this way. On the occasion of my retirement my ex co-workers kept telling me, "Bob, fishing will get old and you'll want to get a part time job, if not full time."

THEY WERE WRONG!

Favorite beverages - Courvoisier "Napoleon" Cognac, a dry martini, Van Winkle Bourbon and New Castle Brown Ale on tap. But, will settle for others when these are not available.
