My parents moved to South Pas in the '20's. My Dad (Dr. Hoyt) had an Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat practice on Fair Oaks Ave, across from the Rialto. Mom and Dad built a house on Alta Vista, just below the water tower in 1939 and lived there many years.

Shared my love for creation, engendered many years ago by Ms. Sowards' Biology class, with various organizations in the Sonoran Desert. Helped prepare plant identification signage in various locations around the Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek, AZ.

Classical and Christian

2014-present, Dave and I serve as Community Bible Study(CBS) Ambassadors to Tanzania, Kenya and DR Congo. Lots of emails, WhatsApp and Zoom or travel to these countries as conditions permit.
We travel to East Africa and visit CBS classes in the US to encourage people to engage in and support this ministry and build a relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ through the study of God's Word, the Bible, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
