After three months of shooting landscapes in Austria, I have returned to New York. Currently, I am focused on macro flowers for a short book.

My mother is 88 and still lives in So Pas on her own. I am the third generation of women to be born in Los Angeles.

My brother, Porter C. Johnson, graduated from SPHS in 1961. He passed away from cancer in 2006.

For the first Earth day, I was assigned an article for the newspaper in 9th grade. From that experience, I knew clearly that my gifts were in drawing, painting and photography, not in journalism.

The joy of my life are my three granddaughters. It tops the public commissions, art gallery openings, and honors I have had professionally. I love being an artist, but being a grandma is amazing.

The beauty of the Hudson Valley inspires my work. I have lived in New York for over a decade. I shoot between twenty and thirty photographs a day which recently have been featured on the websites of WNBC, WABC, Starbucks and the Weather channel.
