Susan and I started in kindergarten in Mrs Tuesberg's classrom, which was right across the street on Cawston. I remember her very fondly as a perky, smart and cute girl. We were in school through high school graduation in 1970. The next time I saw her was in Pasadena a fee years ago at our Covid-delayed 50th. She gave me a sweet, warm kiss. How I will miss her God bless Susan and may God grant her family Peace
Mary and I met in kindergarten at Lincoln School. She was a sweet girl; always friendly and kind to everyone she met. It was a blessing to see her again at our (thrice delayed) 1970 Reunion last September. I will remember her with great fondness. Rest in Peace, dear Mary.
Scott, I well remember when Rick's family came to South Pas. Around 4th or 5th grade, I think. They moved in to what I thought was a fancy house on Kolle, not far from the house where I grew up. About the same time Tom "Buck" McCue moved just down the hill from Ricky's house, and for a good long while those two were inseperable. I was the furthest from all of you athletes; fat and four-eyed, but Rick treated me well - with the notable blast of the rubber ball we used at Lincoln School to play "foursquare". I likely could still flinch at that...just the thought of it. You guys - and especially Rick - gave us the gift of that spectacular undefeated football season. I'm thinking you were also undefeated at basketball? Well, what a year. As we head in to the twilight it makes sense to recall these kids we grew up with. In many ways compared to today, we had an idyllic childhood. It's good to keep that perspective, I think. Thanks for your thoughtful rememberance of Rick. I can still see him - checkered shirt and dungarees, riding his bike down Kolle as fast as he could. Fearless, he was.

not a week goes by that I don't think of something that kid did to drive me crazy - you could not beat him at most board games and we were great, great friends from the time he moved to South Pas until he passed away. Billy C was one of a kind.
It was hard not to like Holly (and Jon!). May Holly be at Peace.
ITina, I just took a look on this site today and was saddened to learn of Roberta's passing. I have a dim recollection of you as well - you were in my late brother John's class of 1972. This may be a stretch, but didn't your family live on Monterey Road in a house next to the Shell station? I was torn down and apartments were built there. Do I recall that correctly? All the best to you, Tina. mike
